Couples therapy

Couples therapy helps resolve conflicts that the couple is not able to resolve alone. These conflicts, for instance, often express themselves through repeated accusations that one partner experiences as hurtful. Unresolved conflicts can also impact on a couple’s sex life.

Couples therapy looks at relationship patterns – basically how couples interact – in order to clarify and reach a mutually acceptable solution. Therapy enables couples to rediscover satisfying relationships or the decision to separate.

Couple therapy sessions usually last 1 to 1 ½ hours and take place approximately every 2 to 3 weeks or at even longer intervals. German sickness funds do not cover the cost of couples therapy.
